Laid off in October 08. Just saw my old job posted as available. What are my rights?

I was laid off from my job back in October 2008 (along with 85 other people). I was out of work for 4 months and am now consulting. I just saw my old job posted on my former employer's website, so they're looking for someone to fill the exact position I held. I'm uncertain of the legalities, so I'd like to know if there is any legal standing to have my company re-hire me, since I was let go due to the economy and not my performance. I know I can apply for the job like anyone else, but is there anything that would make them legally obligated to re-hire me? I live in NJ and this is an "employment-at-will" state, but I don't think layoffs come into play in this instance. I'd appreciate some advice. Thank you!
