Taking Baby to Church! Help!?

My husband was raised in a strict Southern Baptist church. His family goes to church 4 days a week! I was raised Presbyterian but we didn't really attend that much and were not religious ppl in the slightest! Now that we have a son I don't know what denomination to raise him in. I've attended my husbands church quite a few times & really don't like it. I don't agree w/ the 'alter calls' and preacher yelling at the congregation about 'damnation' and going to hell if your not a Christian. I'm just really not liking that! I feel church should be a place to tie religion and the Word of God into your own daily life. Well here lately my husband and MIL have really been pushing me to bring our son to their church but thats not a church I want to bring my son up in! I like my church (of course my husband does not..)but I've just got away from it. What should I do? What should I tell my husband and MIL?
