Need to recover "gas" from my, NOW dead 75' Mercedes-has anti-theft spout.any suggestions?

I have tried all the "obvious" ways-but nothing..with gas @ $3 a gallon. I need to get it out...I even asked if I could bore a hole on the top of the tank...serously..any "backyard" mechanics..what are your secrets?
