Are clarinet and oboe s the same?

I thinking about trying a new intrument, and I think and oboe would be really cool to play. are the s same. I have played clarinet for five years,tenor for 2 years, and piano for eight years. Should I try it or should I just try a clarinet in a different key like c or e flat or something
