Why does Houston, TX not have four seasons (Not the Hotel)?

LOL It seems like we have 2 months of Spring 5 months of Summer maybe 3 months of an indian Summer & maybe 2 months of cool to mild temps in winter. From a weather standpoint not from your POV please explain why the weather in Houston is so effed up & unpredictable!
